Duration: 5 hours (approximately)
Experience the beauty and charm of Prince Edward Island’s North Shore on this relaxed and scenic private tour inspired by the beloved story of Anne of Green Gables. This journey combines stunning coastal landscapes, historic communities, and the places that helped shape one of the world’s most famous novels.
Your tour begins with a scenic drive through historic Charlottetown before heading north into the Island’s rolling countryside. Along the way you’ll see classic Prince Edward Island scenery — red soil farmland, coastal villages, quiet harbours, and sweeping views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
A highlight of the tour is a visit to Green Gables Heritage Place, the setting that inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery’s famous stories of Anne Shirley. Walk through the grounds, explore the surrounding landscapes, and see the places that brought the fictional village of Avonlea to life.
From there we continue along the beautiful North Shore through Prince Edward Island National Park, where red sandstone cliffs, sand dunes, and wide beaches create some of the Island’s most iconic scenery.
We’ll stop in North Rustico, a traditional fishing village where colourful boats and lobster traps line the harbour, offering a glimpse into PEI’s long fishing heritage.
The tour also includes a stop at Covehead Lighthouse, located within the national park and overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence — a perfect place for photos and fresh ocean air.
Before returning to Charlottetown, we visit The Dunes Studio Gallery & Café, a unique Island destination featuring beautiful gardens, local art, and handcrafted pottery.
This tour is thoughtfully paced and personal, allowing time to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and hear local stories about Island life, history, and culture.
