The stops include Barnone Brewery & Hop Farm, Deep Roots Distillery, and Matos Winery & Distillery.

Barnone Brewery
This small farm brewery was opened in 2011 by father and son team Hugh and Don Campbell, in the picturesque rolling hills of Rose Valley. Barnone grow a small hop yard with 4 – 6 different hop varieties and believe in sharing their finest craft beer and experiences with you!  A sample of craft brew is included.

Matos Winery & Distillery
Matos Winery & Distillery is a family-owned and operated business. Jim Matos and his family purchased a 50 acre parcel of land in St. Catherines in 2007 where they applied the French concept of terroir to ensure they had a place where the combination of soil, slope, sun exposure and the peculiar weather vagaries allow certain grape varieties to unfold their unique characteristics. They have been successfully producing Matos wine ever since! Tour of the facility and a sample.

Deep Roots Distillery
From roots to the bottling process, you will learn how Deep Roots grows certified organic apples and how the many processing steps are required to produce a distilled beverage. The tour includes a walk through the orchard, learning about growing organic apples and getting up close and personal with the trees! You will have a look at other plants that produce fruit used in the product and an explanation of the fermentation and distillation processes, as well as some of the challenges in starting a distillery business.  Samples of some products will be provided.

Island Honey Wine Company – Add on requires 6 hours total
This working farm walking tour located in a little piece of certified organic paradise tries to echo the harmony found in nature. A herd of sheep mow the grass and bring fertility to the living soils of the orchards. You can walk among free-range hens and ducks and learn how several thousand honey bees make this place their home and how they are responsible for fruit pollination and honey production.

PLEASE NOTE: Extra time will be required to explore additional stops, ask us how. Available for private group tour bookings only.
